Frequently Asked Questions

What types of products does Bearse USA manufacture?
Bearse USA specializes primarily in the production of bags and non-apparel items. Our expertise lies in crafting bags, cases, pouches, vests, carriers, and straps. It's important to note that we do not manufacture ladies' handbags, purses, or fashion accessories.
What kind of material does Bearse USA work with?
Our most common materials include Canvas, Cordura Nylon, Ballistic Nylon, Cotton Duck, Coated Fabrics, Twill, and Vinyl. Bearse USA has a great deal of experience sourcing virtually any material needed to sew your product. If you have specific material requirements, chances are that we can find it for you.
What is the typical lead time for an order?
The typical lead time for a custom-made item is 4-8 weeks depending upon sewing requirements, quantity, and availability of raw materials. In cases of rush orders, we will work with you as best we can to meet your ship date requirements.
Does Bearse USA carry in-stock items?
While the majority of our products are made-to-order, we do offer a selection of in-stock items in our Bags & Packs section. These include briefcases, backpacks, duffels, cooler bags, totes, windsocks, parts bags, and mailing bags.
Does Bearse USA provide samples?
Speculative samples are considered on a case-by-case basis. Depending on the complexity of the item, there may be a charge to cover pattern development, machine setup, tooling, and material procurement. Pre-production samples are always provided for approval before full-scale production begins.
Is there a minimum quantity for ordering?
For made-to-order or custom printed items, the minimum order quantity is 250 pieces or $500. While we strive to accommodate customers, larger quantities may be required to cover setup costs if our manufacturing setup is not efficient for smaller orders.
Can I order 2 items (with slight differences) to meet the minimum quantity amount?
Typically, no. Custom products often require unique setups, patterns, and material lay-ups. Our processes are optimized for efficient production of larger quantities, and the upfront investment in time pays off with smoother production at scale.
Does Bearse USA supply all of the raw materials required to make an item?
We are flexible with raw material procurement. We have an extensive network of domestic sources but can also accommodate customers who prefer to supply their materials. For unique items, we work with customers to determine the best procurement strategy.
Where are Bearse USA’s products manufactured?
Over 90% of our products are manufactured in the United States. We’ve committed to our employees to keep as much manufacturing in the United States as possible. While we prioritize keeping manufacturing in the U.S., certain markets may demand imported products, and in such cases, we source products where it makes economic sense.
Will Bearse license or market my product for sale?
No. We are experts in custom manufacturing and always continue our focus on being the best production source for our customers.
How are orders packaged?
All orders are packaged in bulk, unless otherwise requested. Special packaging requirements will be included in the price quote delivered to you.
What payment terms does Bearse USA require?
New customers undergo a credit check, and we may request a 30-50% down payment on the first order. Invoices are typically sent with Net 30-day terms upon shipment of the order.
